I chose MOA because the team took a chance on me at a really important time. I was six months pregnant when I was laid off from my previous job, and I was looking for a place that would invest in me and value the work I bring. After experiencing burnout as a Marketing Director in the finance industry, MOA offered something more human and sustainable. I’m trusted to try new things, manage advertising efforts, and grow without being micromanaged. My work is noticed and rewarded — and not just in an office pizza party kind of way.

MOA hired me as a very pregnant stranger, and you know what they did? They threw me a baby shower. Our president even offered to host it at her own home. That kind of culture showed me I was somewhere special. As a new mom, the level of flexibility and support MOA offers is invaluable, and it’s not something you find everywhere.

Little Raven Elementary School quickly became one of my favorite MOA projects. I submitted it for the A4LE Peak Design Award in 2024 when I first started at the firm, and it was incredibly exciting to see it win. Working on this project gave me the chance to dive deep into the design and see how much the team enjoyed collaborating on it. As a mother, it’s the kind of school I would feel proud to send my own child to. The design thoughtfully supports the diverse community it serves while creating a safe, inspiring, and collaborative learning environment.
