Leading the Way in LEED Platinum Workplace Design
Certified LEED Platinum, The Signature Centre is a five-story, 186,000-SF speculative office building with three levels of structured parking. Located in Lakewood, Colorado, just off I-70, the building was 100% pre-leased upon completion and now serves as the corporate headquarters for CoorsTek, a global leader in engineered ceramics. The project set a national precedent for sustainable design and performance in commercial office development.

The Art of Efficient Innovation
The design was driven by a bold goal: to prove that high-performance, environmentally responsible buildings can also meet market demands. With sweeping views of the Colorado foothills, the building incorporates an advanced curtainwall system with integrated sun-shading and light shelves, reducing heat gain while maximizing daylight. A cutting-edge mechanical system combines underfloor air distribution and perimeter chilled beams, allowing for individual temperature and ventilation control while dramatically improving occupant comfort and energy efficiency.
Setting a New Standard for Sustainable Offices
As the first commercial LEED Platinum building in Colorado—and the largest speculative LEED Platinum project in the U.S. at the time—The Signature Centre redefined expectations for commercial sustainability. Its energy use is 36% lower than comparable buildings without these features, making it a benchmark for performance and tenant satisfaction. The building's rapid lease-up and long-term success demonstrate the value of pairing forward-thinking design with measurable environmental impact.
