The Englewood Campus

Englewood, Colorado
Bringing Three Schools Together as One Campus

The Englewood Campus brings together Englewood High School, Englewood Middle School, and the Englewood Leadership Academy on a single, unified site that serves more than 1,300 students. Delivered through a design-build partnership with Saunders Construction, the project involved a complex and carefully phased renovation and addition to the existing facilities. The result is a modern, flexible campus organized around 21st-century learning environments, with academic, technical, and community spaces designed to support a wide range of programs and student needs.

A Campus Built Around Real-World Learning

The design grew from a master planning effort that prioritized both educational innovation and deep community collaboration. Englewood Schools and MOA ARCHITECTURE focused on creating hands-on, career-connected learning environments, resulting in a collection of highly specialized spaces including STEM labs, a fabrication technology lab, a culinary arts lab, a black box theater, digital production studios, fitness and dance studios, a tiered lecture hall, and graphic and fine arts spaces. Community voices played a central role in shaping the campus, ensuring that shared amenities—from the Library Media Center and Auditorium to competition-sized athletic venues and a community health clinic—would support broad year-round use while maintaining student safety and minimizing disruptions to learning.

A Sustainable Future for Englewood Students

The new Englewood Campus provides students with an enriched pathway toward future academic and career opportunities, while offering the broader community a welcoming, multipurpose destination. The facility embraces sustainable design principles, including clerestory windows that bring natural daylight deep into interior spaces, high-efficiency glazing and building systems that reduce energy consumption, and thoughtfully selected materials that minimize environmental impact. Achieving LEED Silver certification, the campus stands as a long-term investment in both educational excellence and environmental stewardship—an adaptable, community-centered hub that will serve Englewood for decades to come.
