A New Home Ice for a Growing Community
The Edge Ice Arena is a premier recreation facility serving the Foothills Park and Recreation District in southwest Denver. Designed to meet the region’s growing demand for ice sports, the facility features two NHL regulation ice rinks and offers a high-quality environment for hockey leagues, competitive figure skating, and public skating. With dedicated amenities for athletes, coaches, and spectators, The Edge has become a vital hub for the local skating community.

Creating a Better Experience for Athletes and Fans
As interest in ice sports continued to rise across the region, the Foothills Park and Recreation District recognized the need for a modern, flexible facility that could support everything from youth hockey tournaments to recreational skate nights. The design of The Edge Ice Arena responds to this need with a two-story layout that separates program functions while maximizing the spectator experience. Key features—including team locker rooms, a figure skating suite, and raised bleacher seating—were inspired by a desire to create a professional-level experience for all users.
A Regional Destination for Skaters
The Edge Ice Arena has quickly established itself as a community anchor and regional destination for ice sports. On the lower level, skaters benefit from dedicated support spaces like skate rental, concessions, and multifunction rooms for training or meetings. Upstairs, a full-service pro shop, private party rooms, and elevated seating for 520 enhance the visitor experience, making the facility welcoming for families, fans, and event spectators alike. The building also houses the offices of the Foothills Park and Recreation District, reinforcing its role as a central hub for recreation in the area. By combining high-quality design with community-focused amenities, The Edge supports a healthy, active lifestyle and celebrates the growing popularity of ice sports in Colorado.
