A Landmark for University Physicians at Fitzsimons

The University Physicians, Inc. (UPI) corporate headquarters is a six-story medical office and corporate office building accompanied by a four-tier parking structure within the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus. Designed by MOA ARCHITECTURE, the facility accommodates two stories of speculative medical office space alongside UPI’s administrative offices, supporting the non-profit organization’s mission of managing administrative and billing operations for University of Colorado Hospital and The Children’s Hospital.

Sustainable Spaces for a Connected Campus

The design focused on creating a functional, welcoming workplace that integrates seamlessly with the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus. Key features include entry arcades providing covered pedestrian access from the parking structure, a south-facing “pocket park” adjacent to employee break areas, and convenient connections to the nearby light-rail line. Sustainability was a priority, guiding the design toward energy efficiency, thoughtful daylighting, and ultimately achieving LEED Gold certification.

Redefining Efficiency in Healthcare Administration

UPI’s new headquarters strengthens operational efficiency while enhancing the workplace experience for employees and visitors. The thoughtfully designed medical office and corporate spaces, combined with pedestrian-friendly amenities and sustainable strategies, create a vibrant, accessible, and forward-looking facility that supports both UPI’s administrative mission and the broader healthcare community.
