Casper Citiwerks

Casper , Wyoming
Historic Landmark Reborn as Casper’s New Center for Work and Connection

Casper Citiwerks converts a historic 1896 building in Casper, Wyoming, into a flexible commercial office environment tailored to today’s evolving workforce. Originally serving as a primary business and social gathering place for visitors and locals, and most recently operating as a retail space, the 15,054-square-foot facility now introduces modular Class A amenities including private offices, open coworking areas, shared conference rooms, and hospitality-driven spaces designed for remote workers, entrepreneurs, startups, and traveling professionals. By transforming the space into a scalable workplace while maintaining its historic character, the project reestablishes the building as a dynamic hub for productivity, collaboration, and community connection.

Designed for a New Workforce and Powered by Forward Thinking Energy Goals

The project was inspired by shifting workforce trends and a desire to reactivate a historic downtown building as a modern business hub. The owner envisioned a space that provides an alternative to working from home, offering professional amenities and social interaction for a new generation of flexible workers. At the same time, energy efficiency and long-term resilience shaped the design, with upgraded insulation, high-efficiency mechanical systems, and infrastructure for rooftop solar and energy storage integrated into the building.

Fueling Entrepreneurship and Revitalizing Downtown Through Flexible Work

Casper Citiwerks creates a new professional ecosystem in downtown Casper, supporting entrepreneurs, remote workers, and growing businesses with scalable workspace options. The mix of collaborative areas and shared amenities encourages interaction across industries, strengthening the local business community and fostering innovation. Through adaptive reuse and energy-conscious upgrades, the project also demonstrates how historic structures can be revitalized to meet modern performance expectations while serving as a renewed community hub.
