The design for Acoya Cherry Creek draws inspiration from the vibrant urban character of Cherry Creek while maintaining warmth and accessibility for older adults. The exterior material palette balances contemporary aesthetics with texture and color to create a welcoming residential presence. Internally, the community was envisioned as a home where residents could remain in their apartments while transitioning through various levels of care, supporting independence and dignity at every stage. Shared amenities and common spaces were strategically planned to foster social engagement, activity, and a sense of community.
Acoya Cherry Creek enhances the Denver metro area’s senior housing options by providing a flexible, I-1 Condition 2 environment that allows residents to age in place safely and comfortably. The building’s design supports both residents and staff with accessible, functional layouts, while its urban location increases access to nearby services, shopping, and cultural amenities. MOA’s early-phase design work set the foundation for a durable, adaptable building, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and a high-quality living experience, even as project ownership changed during construction. The community stands as a meaningful contribution to the region’s evolving senior care landscape.
