Rachael Yee

Senior Project Manager
AIA, EDAC, NCARB, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Rachael is a vocal advocate for lifelong learning and nurturing professional culture. Following this value of learning, Rachael seeks any opportunity to attend conferences and classes, volunteer in the community and teach or share. Rachael was honored as a Herman Miller Scholarship recipient at the Healthcare Design Conference in 2013, as an AIA AAH ACHA Summer Leadership Summit Next Generation Scholar in 2016, as AIA Colorado's President in 2021, and as ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals of 2022. She has volunteered regularly on AIA committees, participates in professional outreach and industry organizations, and teaches in classrooms through ACE Mentorship, CAL, and in partnership with school districts and teachers around the Denver Metro area. Rachael has also delivered professional continuing education seminars on Evidence Based Design as a credentialed professional. In 2014, Rachael was accepted into DC’s 2nd Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program. Since moving back to Colorado, she became aware of the desire for such a Leadership Program in Colorado. With guidance from the program’s original founders and with support from the local AIA chapter, she served as the Chair of the inaugural AIA Colorado CKLDP, the first expansion to the original DC program, and Co-Chair during the 2016-2017 session.

Favorite MOA Project

The Stanley Chocolate Factory is one of my favorite MOA projects for its respectful balance between preserving the existing character of the space and introducing new elements. It presented a complex design challenge that was resolved elegantly and quietly, allowing the old and new to coexist seamlessly.
