When I was looking to make a change in my career, I knew I wanted something different—not just a new job, but a new environment. When I came in for an in-person interview at MOA, it immediately felt great. I interviewed with Jack, and despite him being the president of the company at the time, I felt comfortable right away. At the time, there was no current marketing team, which meant stepping into a role with a lot of responsibility and opportunity. That challenge was something I was really excited about.
As I’ve spent more time here, what continues to set MOA apart is the culture and the people, especially the leadership. There’s a level of transparency that you don’t often see, and a genuine appreciation for the team. Whether it’s recognizing project teams during all-staff meetings, giving us days off around the holidays, or creating opportunities to connect through things like ski days, it’s clear that leadership is intentional about building a positive and engaging workplace. Even now, working fully remote, they’ve made an effort to keep me included—bringing me back to Denver for key events so I can stay connected to the team.
MOA has shown up for me in a lot of ways, but the most meaningful was supporting my move back to my home state of Minnesota while allowing me to continue working fully remote. When I made the decision to move, I was sad thinking I might have to leave and start over somewhere new. The fact that they worked with me so I could stay meant a lot, and it’s something I’ll always be grateful for.
It’s amazing to see how schools are transforming compared to the environments we grew up in. The spaces at New Vista are truly inspiring and create the kind of learning environment I would have loved to experience as a student.
