Gregory Martin

Senior Project Architect
RA, LEED AP BD+C
Hi everyone — I'm Gregory Martin, and I'm a Project Architect. What drives me most in this role is the development of the building through the process — taking what a client envisions and needs, and turning that into a building that actually functions and feels right. My strongest suit is coordinating complex details — structure, systems, materials — in a way that doesn't just solve a problem, but elevates the overall aesthetic. I believe the details are more than making a building function but integral to design, and I'm excited to bring that approach to our work together.

My Why

I joined MOA just as the firm won the DaVita HQ design competition — which seemed almost impossible at the time as the economy was in the toilet and even getting an interview was a struggle. Luckily my strengths aligned almost perfectly with what MOA was looking for at the time; high rise experience combined with advanced Revit training.

MOA has found multiple ways to show up for me. There is the day to day mentoring that takes place, but the advocate process support to licensure is what stands out most to me.

MOA's willingness to let team members work from home and adjust their hours when life requires it isn't a perk — it's a differentiator. In a profession that finds ways to demand more than we can give at times finding a firm that cares about people has been special.

Favorite MOA Project

My favorite MOA project is the Stanley Film Center. This project offered the rare opportunity to collaborate on an addition to one of the most iconic buildings in the state, making it both an exciting and deeply meaningful experience.
