I’m a Project Designer at MOA ARCHITECTURE, and I enjoy working across all phases of a project—from early concepts through construction. I tend to approach design with a technical mindset, focusing on detailing, coordination, and turning ideas into clear, buildable solutions. I often support the design team during documentation and stay involved through construction to help keep things moving and aligned with the original vision. With experience across healthcare, education, and commercial work, I’m motivated by creating spaces that are practical, well-crafted, and built to perform for the people who use them.

My Why

From early interactions with the firm I noticed it was different than what I was used to. I learned quickly that MOA values their firm culture and is proud to share it. I was most impressed when I noticed how my coworkers were entrusted by the firm leadership to do their best work, the motivation and pride that comes from that trust is palpable. Interacting with the many employees, who seem excited and interested in the quality of their work, showed me that output was not the only goal of the firm and there is a heavy focus on relationship building, communication, and comfortability. In my early days with MOA, I was looking forward to working on important projects that have a positive impact on the environment around us. After 10 months with the firm my understanding from those early impressions still holds strong. The projects I have been a part of, whether it is the much needed school renovations or The Stanley Hotel expansion, have only added to the positive experience I have had this far.

Favorite MOA Project

During my time at MOA, I have been fortunate to work on one of my favorite projects of my career: The Stanley Hotel Expansion. I’ve had the opportunity to study the historic building in detail and, alongside a great team, help preserve its character throughout the expansion. The project requires close coordination to maintain the hotel’s historic charm while accommodating the needs of the modern world, which is what I enjoy most about the work.
