Chinook Middle School is my favorite project. It was originally envisioned as a WELL‑certified building, and although the project was ultimately not certified, the owner’s commitment to wellness‑focused design remained central throughout. The owner firmly believed that if a school is thoughtfully designed and well cared for, students will respond by treating the space with respect—a philosophy that strongly influenced the project’s outcome.
