Highlands Ranch Town Center
The Highlands Ranch Town Center is a vibrant mixed-use development combining retail, commercial office space, and park areas to create a suburban “old town” experience. Anchored by a clock tower overlooking a central village green, the Town Center provides a dynamic community gathering place while accommodating modern commercial needs. MOA ARCHITECTURE served as Architect of Record in collaboration with RLA Design.

The design drew inspiration from the historic masonry buildings of Denver’s LoDo neighborhood, with careful attention to brickwork, sandstone detailing, and pedestrian-friendly streetscapes. Each building was designed to reflect its unique role within the Town Center: “Fred,” a large multi-tenant retail building set back from the street; “Pat,” the flagship building with ground-floor retail, restaurant space, and offices above; “Bob,” a smaller retail building; and “Rich,” a two-tiered parking structure integrated into the overall streetscape. The goal was to create a cohesive environment that feels rooted in history while serving contemporary suburban life.
The Town Center has become a vibrant destination that balances retail, office, and community spaces. Thoughtful design and historically inspired detailing enhance the pedestrian experience, strengthen the sense of place, and foster community engagement. By blending functionality with character, the Highlands Ranch Town Center provides both residents and visitors with a welcoming, memorable “old town” atmosphere.
